With the New Year there is a transformation taking place with the Custom Gemstone Studio and One World Gemstone. Both sites are moving under the direction of the Green Gem Foundation.

For The Custom Gemstone Studio:

1. Any gemstone or jewelry related item may be posted on The Custom Gemstone Studio. This includes custom, commercial and native cuts, gem rough, jewelry – everything.

2. The site is open to Green Gem supporters and non-supporters alike. Non-supporters will be limited to four-six posts per year. Existing posts and links currently not meeting the guidelines will most likely be phased out over a long time frame – two years.

3. Green Gem Supporters will have active banners and links.

It will take a bit of time to edit the site to reflect these immediate changes. The change is intended to support the transforming landscape of market access and to help initiate the bottom line of keeping gem wealth in the source country. This is done by supporting artisnal miners and the artisnal carftsperson – faceters, and artists everywhere.

There will be more interesting changes to come.
