Darian Snyder Citrine- Ribbon Design 6.35 ct

The Ribbon Design by Charles McCoy Faceting by Jim Rentfrow

My nephew, Darian, was diagnosed with ACS, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, in October of 2008. As a result he has become very active in the Relay for Life program. He asked me to cut a stone and sell it for his team this year. This citrine was the result. The color was chosen because the color for Darian’s cancer is orange. Aligning the crown on this stone was very difficult as you can see in the facet junctions of the ribbon. I wanted to get this out the door quickly and into Jeff’s hands for photography.

An anonymous Green Gem Foundation artist was kind enough to purchase the stone and return it to me for presentation to Darians mother.

The stone’s meetpoints were cleaned up when I received it and sent to my jeweler to be placed in a white gold pendant for Darians Mother.

If you are like me, you probably know one or several individuals who have had cancer or passed away because of the disease. I have over 20 ribbon designs to choose from and can cut one for you to remember your loved ones. Contact me at flawlessfacets.com
