This is a classic rhodolite garnet, as the rough had this beautiful lighter shade of red/purple. While the rough was a bit on the long side that gave me the chance to pick a cut that I don’t do very often, Jeff Graham’s “Big ‘M’”. I love unusual gemstone outlines and this barion cut proved to be a great match for the color of the garnet. This is one eye-catching stone!
