Comments : This rich deep madeira citrine looks stunning cut in the classic Asscher Cut design. Before I cut it I thought that the madeira colour might be too dark for an Asscher but when I was finished I was pleasantly surprised that that was the case. It works very well in the Asscher and shows the patterns nicely. The colour, even though its hard to tell in the pics, in real life is very close to the darker orange coloured spessartite garnet… they are very similar. This is a fine gemstone.
