The color on this one is very cool! It actually has 3 different color appearances. In sunlight, it is slightly pink-purple (purple dominant). In incandescent, it’s slightly purple-pink (pink dominant). And in fluorescent, it’s that unique metallic peachy-purple that only Imperials display.
The clarity is exceptional for Imperial. Most roughs of this size have carbon spots–this one did not. There is one little crystalline inclusion that remained in the pavilion, and is loupe visible if you know where to look. It’s probably a garnet crystal inclusion, and proves the natural origin of the stone. (See Rough2Refined website for detailed photos of this.) At 10x or higher, there may be the hint of a couple much smaller crystalline inclusions, but the stone is definitely VVS Type 2 for garnet.
