Comments : This is something that you rarely see, a fine bright chrysoberyl cut in the classic Asscher Cut. Most chrysoberyl tends to be small and is usually cut in round or oval designs. I was lucky to get this nice blocky piece of rough that was perfect for an Asscher. Chrysoberyl is in the same ballpark as sapphire in terms of hardness and brightness. This fine little gem is a nice bright yellow with slight greenish highlights. It’s very dazzling in the sunlight and would make a great ring stone.
