The Gemstone Studio encourages and accepts photo contributions from collectors, consumers, enthusiasts, hobbyists, faceters, brokers, designers, miners, artists and craftspeople, and the professionals that fashion and promote this amazing work. Whether you simply love gemstones, or are looking for a place to increase sales, you are warmly encouraged to display your portfolio.
During the initial months of the Gemstone Studio the site strictly promoted custom faceted gemstones. That initiative has now changed as the site transforms to support the Green Gem Foundation. The Studio is now focusing on providing market access to all Artisnal Artista – From Faceter to Miner, from Jeweler to Designer.
The colored-stone landscape is quickly changing worldwide and the movement we at Green Gem see in the works promises sweeping changes. The social on-line market with emphasis on artisnal ethical sourcing is transforming colored stone traditions. We have seen direct response to what we are promoting in the colored stone industry- mostly falling short – this change will quicken. It’s not Green Gem – it’s what’s happening.
