This is a beautiful piece of rhodalite garnet from Kenya. The rough was obtained from a Kenyan dealer and faceted by myself in a design by Marco Voltolini. The checkerboard crown provides a great deal of brilliance with the brilliant style pavilion creating flashes of color whenever the stone is moved.
